Deja Cross Story: In 2013, after beingcalled by Ma India and travelling to Allahabad Kumbh Mela, Varanasi Maha Shivaratri, and the sacred Ganga in Rishikesh, I was discovered as a photographer in the apple orchard town of Old Manali. My first exhibit in the U.S. is called “I Heard Her Calling”, in which I had 13 photography exhibitions and pop-up events.
In 2016, back in Rishikesh, while meditating at Ma Ganga, I asked Her, “How shall I exhibit my photography now that I am living in India?” Her reply was life-changing. She said “Not only shall you exhibit your own artwork, but also promote the work of other artists with a similar message/theme.” In the days to follow, I realized that everybody I met, for various meals and meetings, was a filmmaker!” And so it is that we have the Rishikesh International Film Festival.
